THE MODEL

Is the app really free forever?

Yes. The app's core functionality is free with no expiry date, no trial period, and no account required. You can use it forever without paying anything.

Is there a subscription?

No. There is no subscription for this app. There never will be. A single $0.99 in-app purchase unlocks the extras, and that is the only purchase that exists.

What does this one-time unlock include?

The $0.99 purchase includes:

All themes, now and forever
Support an indie developer

Will you add ads later?

No. This app's business model is free core functionality plus one optional $0.99 purchase. It will not add ads or a subscription later. Read the Skip the BS manifesto for the company-wide standard.

What platforms do you support?

NO BS IF targets iOS and Android phones and tablets. There is no web app. A native watch app may come later.

PRIVACY

Do you collect any of my data?

We do not collect your fasting data. Fasts, history, streaks, targets, and settings stay on your device unless you explicitly export a backup. We do not receive exported backups or use ads, advertising identifiers, cross-app tracking, crash reporting, or behavioral analytics.

For purchases, RevenueCat processes an anonymous customer identifier, purchase history, an Apple receipt or Google Play purchase token, and basic transaction and device technical data. This validates and restores NO BS IF+, prevents fraud, and provides aggregate purchase analytics. RevenueCat does not receive your fasting or health data, name, email address, payment-card details, or advertising identifiers.

You can request deletion of RevenueCat customer data through support. Full details are in our privacy policy.

Do I need an account?

No. No sign-up, email, or login. You open the app and it works. If you make a purchase, Apple or Google ties it to your store account and RevenueCat manages an anonymous entitlement record.

Where is my data stored?

Your fasting history, streaks, targets, and settings stay on your device. NO BS IF does not upload them to us or RevenueCat, and fasting tracking works offline. Limited purchase data is handled by Apple or Google and RevenueCat so your unlock can be validated and restored. You can import and export your fasting data at any time; you choose where an exported backup goes.

What happens to my data if I uninstall?

Your locally stored fasting data is removed with the app. Export it first if you want to keep it or move it to another device. Your purchase entitlement remains with Apple or Google and RevenueCat so you can restore the unlock after reinstalling.

HOW IT WORKS

What fasting protocols does it support?

Choose a fasting target from 8 to 24 hours. The app is a timer, not a protocol enforcer.

What if I forgot to start the timer?

You can correct the start time before, during, or after a fast.

Does it sync across devices?

No cloud sync for fasting data. Your fasting history and settings stay on your device. To move them to a new phone, use the export and import tools in Settings. You're in control of your data.

How does the streak work?

Complete an on-target fast on consecutive calendar days and the streak grows. Miss a day and it resets. The configurable grace period can count a slightly short fast as on target.

Can the app really tell if I am in ketosis?

No. The milestone labels are general estimates, not a reading of your body. The app does not access your health data.

How do I report a bug?

Email us. Tell us what happened, what you expected, and what device and OS version you're on. A real person reads every message.

Do you take feature requests?

Yes, via email. We can't promise we'll build everything, but we read everything. If a lot of people ask for the same thing and it fits the philosophy, it gets considered.
